The meeting was called to order at 19:30

Recognition – Bruce (K2BHS) worked Jamaica. Glenn (N4GRC) worked Nunavut, Canada. Lou (KB4DSL) worked 7P8WR Lesotho DXpedition and was confirmed for working Bouvet. Carol (AB4YI) was confirmed for working Bouvet and Lesotho DXpedition.
The minutes from the April 2026 meeting were posted on the website. The minutes were approved as distributed.
Vice President, Carol, AB4YI reported that the Wally Watt (for the club station) is slated to arrive on Monday, 5/7/26. She further reported that she and Marty, W4AFP will be present to accept the delivery. She is looking for volunteers to sign up and work on the inside, need a work weekend, possibly the last weekend in May.
Club Secretary/Newsletter Editor, Bruce, K2BHS reported that the April 2026 Meeting Minutes are available, as previously mentioned. He also reported that the latest newsletter is posted to the club website. He is always looking for article submissions and/or volunteers to assist in putting the newsletter together.
Club Treasurer, Will, W7WMS gave the monthly Treasurer’s Report. He reported the balances for the month. He also reported membership stats for this month. The club currently has a total of 117 members.
The club welcomed new members. The new members are:
- Tom Fitzgerald, K1THF
- Cliff Surman, KR4LSD
- Mark Schmidt, KR4KUE
A motion was made to approve the new members. Bruce – K2BHS motioned and Mike – K4HN seconded. The new members were unanimously approved.
Will, W7WMS reported on VE Testing for April 2026 – There is one new Technician and one General upgrade. Next session is on 5/19/26.
Repeater Trustee, Alex, KO4CEE reported that all three repeaters are working and operational. He also gave the Net Manager’s report for both nets for April. The totals were as follows:
- QNI: 632 total check-ins (600 for the 2-meter net & 32 for the 220/440 net)
- QTC: 28 messages passed (26 for the 2-meter net & 2 for the 220/440 net)
- QND: 1003 minutes (16.7 hours) (952 minutes (15.9 hours) for the 2-meter net & 51 minutes (0.9 hours) for the 220/440 net)
- There was a total of 35 (30 for the 2-meter net & 5 for the 220/440 net) sessions for April.
- Net Controllers with the most check-ins: 1st – WZ4GW (Bill) (26 check-ins), 2nd – KC4SXO (Bob) & W4XXI (JoJo) (both with 22 check-ins)
New Business:
The program for June 2026 will be ARRL Field Day 2026.
Dave, K4DRW won the 50/50 with a total jackpot of $14. Congratulations Dave!
