Recognition – Dave, KR4U has a total of 331 countries (confirmed QSOs), there were also a few notable contacts, DXCC and Honor Roll.
Vice President, Carol, AB4YI reported that the prospective bylaws updates and changes will be presented at the Board Meeting, scheduled for 5/31/25.
The minutes from the May 2025 meeting were posted on the website and have been approved as distributed by a majority vote.
Club Treasurer, Will, W7WMS gave the monthly Treasurer’s Report. He reported the balances for the month. He also reported membership stats for this month (currently 127 members).
The club welcomed a new member. The new membes are:

- William Crowe, KR4EDC
A motion was made by Bruce – K2BHS to approve the new members. Mike – K4HN seconded. The motion passed by unanimous consent.
Secretary/SPARC Gap Editor, Bruce, K2BHS reported that the May 2025 meeting minutes are posted. He further reported that the next edition of the SPARC Gap Newsletter is in process. He also encouraged the membership to write and submit articles for the newsletter.
David, KR4U, Club Station – W4GAC Trustee – Reported everything is working properly. Remote access to the Flex radio is still a work in process. He further reported that the replacement element for the beam has arrived, the rotor needs repair and the sidearm needs to be changed for the dipole. The date for these repairs are TBD at this time. Dave further mentioned that there is some equipment for sale including two Yaesu FT1000s, a Heathkit amplifier and tuners.
Dee, N4GD reported that all three repeaters are working at this time. He further reported that the 220 MHz repeater has some noise on it but otherwise it works well.
Pat, AAØO reported that there was one new Technician for May. There are two candidates thus far for the next VE Session on 6/17/25.
Paul, KA4IOX – Events/Activities Coordinator, spoke about this year’s upcoming Field Day. He also mentioned the next operating event is the NAQP RTTY Contest on 7/19/25 from 14:00 – 0200. There will be two operating stations available during the contest.
Ed, NZ1Q gave the Net Manager’s report for May. The totals were as follows:
- QNI: 689 check-ins
- QTC: 35 messages passed
- QND: 1159 minutes (19.32 hours)
- There was a total of 35 sessions for the month.
